" I am against "underground-portraits was born in the London Underground (London Underground) between November 2004 and April 2005. More than 2,000 pictures to document total that period. The photos are not staged, and even though the camera was completely visible, the images themselves were unnoticed and taken as with a hidden camera. People sit different cultures, professions, race, religion and generations in the subway, alone or together and have some time on a common path. This anonymous life should be recorded in this work.
Bernadette Huber is - an on situational requirements and geographical contexts and content - a fundamental principle of their preferred artistic concept. The artist herself is always compared to their pictures.
The last work of the entire series of photos were 3 months before the attacks on the London Underground. The theme of London Tube - public transport - has the terrorist attacks in London on 7 July 2005, a new and tragic significance level obtained. The socio-cultural and political situation of the city has changed.
