I am delighted that my exhibition at the fourth Month of Photography - "Eyes on" - in Vienna of the 15 (below 170) is the voting Starl has found worthy to discuss.

I personally "would have expected though (just over) praise," I am of the opinion that this is the best ever in my 41 individual exhibitions is (ex equo with my ongoing exhibition at the photography collection at the Munich City Museum - 9th January).

Hanns Otte ( * 1955 Dances) - one might say - on both stages, when he presented two projects (R2 Gallery, 15 - 27.11.2010). For the series' points of view ", he called friends and people who had responded to his call, to have their picture taken with their cars, vans, vintage cars and motorcycles. There you are, in addition to or in front of their vehicles, one arm resting on the roof, modeled loosely or tightly at one meter. The ten color photographs originated 2009 in Dresden and Vienna, posing little about the contemporary. Whether Museum Speaker, artist or engineer, their poses no clues as to the relationship with the company, which is obvious to most simply viewed as a utility object. Although studies have established that the person who finds / Auto body language behavior in its expression, but this finding seems only vacation photos at the beginning of all-round engine after the Second World War to apply.

On 7 November 2008, Otte photographed all day long in the Ottakringer brewery in Vienna. The result are 160 pictures from loading docks, delivery vehicles, containers, the grounds and parts of the building. The 19 prints shown people are not present, the void is laminated by means of strong colors in part. The two groups of works nonetheless fit well in a joint exhibition. It connects the sobriety of the registration of factories and factory farms, vehicles and their owners, no more to be announced as the fact of their existence. On the other hand, has mastered a "tense calm" (Petra Noll on 15 November 2010 in the opening speech) the scenery. You wait a sense that the images begin to tell, but it is to hear only a faint murmur, as it accompanies our daily lives.

winter round Büdlich

Hello,

yesterday I was the first time at a tournament of the BSC Büdlich.

The weather was top notch.
It had been snowing all day long but we had really nice sunshine. It was very pleasant, although quite cold!

It was a small tournament with about 60 participants, with many familiar faces.

compliment the Büdlich. It has (except on points with me) to really missing anything!
The team was super friendly. The food
was very good, it was warm mulled wine, the barbecue was under continuous fire ... really no outstanding requests, except that I have come to nichht more to taste the chili, because after the shooting there was nothing more of it.

The Einschiessscheiben was amazing!
not as is usual, the usual 2-3 discs, but about a total of 10 different possibilities to make warm, washers and animals that were at different distances.

I was back on the road with my father ... his start was about a lot more promising than mine ... (I do the red arrows, the other my father)

pity that it was the worst event that I 've shot since I was still short "career"!

There were two rounds of 15 animals.
The first round was a 3-arrow-round, then a special Hunter Round. And here comes

the only, but important shortcoming of the event:

The Hunter-round had a special stage, whereby the second round was more fortunately shooting!
Kill -> 20 points
wound -> - 10 points
addition -> 0 point (!!!)

to work with negative, a very cool idea, but I would urge a consistent and de people who shoot next to it, please also dnn example -20 points!


Selbsttverständlich I am to blame if I do not meet the kill (the targets were also compared to other Hunter rounds made easier), but that many who have not made it technically points pulled me over ... bad idea !

had in the first round I have 202 points, with 15 animals not be a world champion, but oh well .... from the second round I got to 40 points, although I have only shot one next to it, but only 6 kills .

actually 200 points ... in fact ... and when I think about how close the wound results were ... I would have better my arrows shot into his own feet ...

The most annoying was that people came to meet one who had his chest puffed up with pride because, with 6 or 7 times "0" in the Hunter round had more points than me ...

The best shot was on a bison, which was placed about 50-60Meter, over a sink.













... but a nice kick is sometimes "kill" shot!

Actually a nice tournament, but even though it is just about the fun ... the second half I was very frustrated - Actually a shame!

So in conclusion: a really nice tournament, but guys - this was nothing with the points! And then no more than comfort eating chili ... :-)

status report of the Book film on my arrows

I was asked by some people, how they have kept the label that I installed on my arrows in the "daily" use.

given here are a few short sentences.



Today was an example of what I have all performed in efforts to destroy the film ... unfortunately, I can very well explain how the quality of the film, because I can impinge the arrows on trees , is chased by various briars, they shot through the meadow or divided, as now in the picture above branches ...



Despite this rough treatment, I am
personally very pleased with the "remaining"! Here are the worst ever arrows can be seen, is on everyone else almost nothing to see.
Even if you pull the arrow solves nothing!



So in conclusion ih can recommend the film only. I'll also order a few to the worst then be replaced in time.
